"Hello, Dave," I greeted while reclining on the refreshing grass. The scorching heat of the summer day was subdued, and our eyes fixated on the marshmallow clouds above, whimsically transforming into familiar cartoon characters. "Can you spot that one? It resembles Casper the Ghost!"

As the clouds gracefully meandered across the pale blue sky, it was impossible to ignore the mesmerizing way they stretched and contorted, eventually departing from any semblance of Casper. While witnessing these captivating metamorphoses was exhilarating, there were moments when we longed for the original shape, pondering what it would be like if time could stand still. What if we could seize a moment and perpetuate its existence?

Yet many years later as an adult, I did find a way to immortalize one of the most precious things any of us can possess: our memories. 

Through photography, I discovered a way to capture those fleeting moments. To arrest a piece of time that will never repeat. Imagine it now: those two young boys laying on a carpet of greenery and reaching out and up to point at the heavens, their broad grins lighting their faces as the sunlight illumines the puffy figure of Casper the Ghost drifting across a backdrop of blue. The contrast of colors, the way the sun dapples the ground in shadow here and there, the exact shape of that specific, friendly cloud… these are all irreplaceable because they will never quite exist as they did in that moment. More importantly, the only way to recreate the exact same feeling in the heart of each individual onlooker is to let them see it for themselves.
